Surrender Doesn’t Mean Giving Up

“The greatness of a man’s power is the measure of his surrender.” – William Booth

The word surrender is often greatly misunderstood.

Surrender is not about “giving up”, failing at life, or about losing anything.

On the contrary, it is one of the most beautiful experiences life has to offer.

Imagine you have been struggling all of your life and then one day you simply decide to let go and trust the Divine’s plan for you instead of trying to control and manipulate the outcomes you think you want.

It takes courage to step out of trying to control everything but the benefits are nothing short of amazing!

Surrender is the gentle release of your constant effort to get something “better” than what is here right now.

It is bowing down to the Divine essence within yourself in the present moment. It comes naturally when you stop for a few moments and breathe, focusing on the breath, then the pauses between the breath….then the stillness in those pauses. This is where the connection to the Divine takes place.

It frees you to instantly flow into the joyful life that you deserve and desire … that has been waiting for you all along.

Surrender frees you from suffering …instantly!

In that stillness, you can find such a profound clarity that you know, in a profoundly experiential way, that this is what you have been looking for. It is available right this instant and now you can rest.

Notice what happens when you deeply relax and let go of everything. Notice how you feel and what changes.

How do you feel about your life, relationships and your future?

The experience of letting go of the need to be in control of your life is such a huge relief.

From running on empty you become filled with enthusiasm, curiosity and delight.

Anxiety turns into inner peace, sadness turns into joy.

“Since I joined the group, I have learned how to slow my thoughts through simple breathing techniques, and then connect my breathing to my heart. I’ve learned how to quieten my mind enough to hear and listen to my heart. I’ve learned that I am enough, and I have always been enough, I am loved, and I have always been loved and am love. I have always been… I had just forgotten.

Now I am learning to remember.

The best thing of all that I have learned, is that I always have a choice. I can choose whatever I like. I am learning to become an observer of my thoughts and reactions, which is enabling me to realize that there are other options, other thoughts to think… which create other feelings… I can choose to feel happy whenever I wish, no matter what I might have previously automatically thought. I love this feeling – it feels like being free… to be me… to be happy and loved… and to love x Joy, much love and gratitude to you… Today, I am remembering, and my wish is that I remember this every single day of my life xxx”
